Arts & Conflict Trasnformation:-

Participated both as speaker, dancer and participant in a workshop on Conflict Transformation organized by Women in Security, Conflict Management and Peace (WISCOMP) the Foundation for Universal Responsibility in 2007. The participants in the workshop comprised of mid career professionals working in various fields in conflict transformation. They were 20 each from India and Pakistan – Dec 2007

India and Pakistan and debated on issues of stereotyping, cross cultural similarities and value of experiential learning –March 2008 organized by Conflict Transformation organized by  Women in Security, Conflict Education for Peace and Multiculturalism- A National Workshop for Educators:  Created and executed a Heritage Walk on Introduction to the Syncretism Culture of India: The heritage walk addressed 40 history teachers fro management and Peace (WISCOMP) the Foundation for Universal Responsibility.

Seminar and Workshop titled: Merging boundaries and shifting paradigms in education. The presentation was on Cultural Construction through Dance: The lecture demonstration addressed science and Math teachers in School. The value of dance in a child’s education which would assist in developing creative impulses, building communication, constructing personalities and developing tolerance with each other  -  organized by Conflict Transformation organized by  Women in Security, Conflict Management and Peace (WISCOMP) the Foundation for Universal Responsibility and Springdale’s School, New Delhi

Project in Dance and Conflict Transforamtion:-

Bound –Unbound: Concept Design  Mansoora Hasan  (from Pakistan)  Dance & Thoughts : Navina Jafa (India). The project explored the manner in which the false reading of the Koran has bound the woman. Against some Sufi Music the bound dancer explores her space to recreate a new identity celebrating her power as woman.
