Dr. Jafa has been specializing in Arts in Development Programs.

  1. She has taught at the HellerSchool, in the Sustainable Development Program, BrandeisUniversity a paper titled: "Culture, Development and Performance"
  2. She is a guest faculty at the school of Mass Communication at the JamiaUniversityNew Delhi where she teaches Performing Arts in Development Communications.
  3. She has given talks on Arts and Development Communication which includes one at United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
  4. Participated in UN-GIFT - Global Initiative to Fight Human Trafficking - New Delhi, 2007 : Round table discussion on the Role of Arts, Media and Popular Culture in Fighting Human Trafficking.

  4. Reclaiming Organic Farming and issues of food security by underprivileged caste women, through folk songs and theatre (Andhra Pradesh)
